Do you have the right management and leadership skills?

We’ve all seen the employees don’t leave bad jobs, they leave bad bosses quotes that are often doing the rounds.  Although it seems a bit of a cliché, research of exit interviews has shown that poor management is often the root cause of departure.

In addition to high staff turnover, poor management can also result in an increase in a range of employee related issues including;

  • disciplinaries
  • grievances
  • staff absences
  • low engagement
  • performance issues … to name just a few!

Disgruntled employees are also more likely to leave bad reviews on Glassdoor, potentially reducing the pool of talent applying for any vacant roles you have.

This is where we come in…..

As a team we have been designing and delivering management and leadership qualifications for over 20 years and have built a great reputation for courses that really help people to develop and practice their management skills – and make a difference back in the workplace.

As a Registered Centre with the Chartered Management Institute, our management and leadership courses are accredited by a globally recognised professional institution for management.

Our courses

For companies that have a number of individuals they wish to develop, we offer a flexible unit based approach at levels 2, 3, 4 and 5.  This enables us to develop courses that focus on key areas of business need as well as individual needs, maximising the companies’ return on investment (ROI).  Our flexible delivery options enable courses to be delivered according to the needs of the business.

For companies that wish to develop the skills of one or two individuals, we offer ‘open’ courses.  The units delivered in these courses have been picked to provide a rounded understanding of the fundamentals of people management.  Delegates on these courses also benefit from the shared experiences of managers/aspiring managers from other organisations and sectors.

Our courses can be delivered face to face or via blended learning, using a virtual training room. Regardless of whether they are in person or online, all our courses are all highly participative with lots of group discussions and activities. Our open courses are delivered with one half-day tutor taught session a month. We have found this provides the perfect balance to delegates as it’s a manageable amount of time away from the workplace, provides time for any additional study and allows delegates the opportunity to practically apply their learning in the workplace.

As if this isn’t enough, our courses also include membership to the CMI. This gives delegates access to a wealth of support and resources, including: a mentoring scheme, Management Masterclass CPD and webinars, career development resources and much more. Full details can be found here.

We also offer all course delegates the opportunity to attend our monthly online ‘Lunch and Learn Clinics’ FREE of charge for the duration of their course.  Each month a member of our Learning & Development Team or HR Team will deliver a session on a different management/leadership topic, allowing plenty of time for questions and discussions.

Want a sneaky peak?

As mentioned, all our courses are highly participative, making it quite difficult to capture on film. However, we have recorded Emma in action on one of our ‘open’ Level 3 Certificate courses! The videos below will give you an idea of some of the topics covered on this specific course with more information available here.
